Elementary School:

Did you know a child's success in math often begins long before school? Early math skills lay the foundation for confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving - essential tools for lifelong learning.

As the renowned mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss once said,

"Mathematics is the queen of all sciences." At The Learning Center Raduga, we couldn't agree more! Starting math lessons as early as age 5 taps into a child's natural curiosity and eagerness to explore. At this age, learning through play is the key.

Engaging games and activities introduce core concepts like logic, comparison, and spatial reasoning in a way that feels like fun, not work.

These early experiences build the skills children need to succeed not only in math but in problem-solving across all areas of life.

Small successes in math boost confidence and create a positive attitude toward learning. When children feel proud of their progress, they gain the courage to tackle new challenges and think independently.

This growing confidence helps them transition to more complex tasks seamlessly - often without even noticing.

With the right start, math doesn't have to feel overwhelming. Children learn to approach problems with persistence and creativity, knowing mistakes are part of the process.

At our Learning Center, we help children develop a growth mindset that turns challenges into opportunities. These skills go far beyond the classroom, preparing them for success in school and in life. Ready to build a strong foundation in math for your child? Let's start the journey together!

Middle/High School:

Pre-Algebra (Grades 6-7) covers the following topics:

Fractions, Exponents, and Decimals. Introduction to the Number Theory and Algebra, including Common Divisors and Multiples, Prime Numbers and Factorization and Fundamental theorem of Arithmetics, Linear equations and inequalities, Proportions, Ratios and Percentages. Word problems solving.

Introduction to Algebra (Grades 7-8) includes the following topics:

Exploration of Coordinate Geometry, geometric tools and strategies, Linear equations and Systems of Linear Equations, Exponents and Radicals, introduction to Discrete Mathematics and Statistics, and mastering word problem solving. Polynomials and Special Products.

Algebra I and Introduction to Geometry includes the following:

Fundamental concepts of Algebra, including Exponents and Radicals, Linear Equations and Inequalities, Systems of Linear Equations, Factoring Quadratics, Complex Numbers, Completing the Square, and the Quadratic Formula. Introduction to the basic concepts of geometry, common terms and two-column geometric proofs.

We also offer classes in Pre-Calculus (with Trigonometry included) and Calculus (AB and BC) for High School students.

We limit class sizes to 6-7 students to ensure that every student gets an individual approach, attention and help.

Kangaroo Math:

We are very excited to announce that  we will host Math Kangaroo Competition this school year at the Raduga Learning Center.

Math Kangaroo is an international mathematical competition for students in grades 1 through 12. Any student that is currently enrolled in grades 1 through 12  is eligible to participate. They must register to a participating center several months prior to the testing date and pay a small participation fee.

The Competition will take place on Thursday, March 21th, 2019.

Lets give our kids a chance to be excited about Math and be able to connect with global peers, and engage in the common pursuit of Math!
